1. I would say that my favorite project was the mache hand thing. I liked this because it was fun to get our covered with petroleum jelly and have to slide our hands in and out. I liked it because it was messy, but it was an easy clean up. Unfortunately I did not get to paint it because I was sick but that would have been enjoyable as well. It was also cool because the material felt good going on to your hands. It was rather intriguing I would think that would be fun to do again except maybe with a foot or something else. That is why it was my favorite project.
2. The project I've learned the most from was the perspective project. I learned the most from the perspective project because I figured that this is the most applicable in real life. For example, if you look down a street in real life the closest buildings will look bigger than the further away buildings. I personally love being in big cities and drawing realistic city streets was fun for me. I enjoyed all of the measuring and lining up and erasing for the buildings like that. The details were a bit confusing but other than that it was enjoyable to me, especially when we went outside. I learned a lot from the perspective.
3. The art that we used other projects for was the shading project. I learned from all of the cubes and cones and the value scales that we had to practice shading. I learned about light sources and the shadows and the way things get filled in and learned to NOT BE AFRAID OF THE DARK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! It was also enjoyable picking the object that we wanted to to do realistic shading, and it was cool bringing it to life. Another thing we did to bring this to life was shade the back of the original copy so that we could put it in our sketchbooks by tracing it. It isn't exactly tracing but it makes it look more realistic than a straight lined outline all the way around the figure.
We also used perspective, because some of these pictures were at an angle with shadows and shading. This helped us not to use stored images to make something as if you were looking straight at it. This is the shading project that encompassed a lot of the other things we have learned in the class.
4. The project I felt was the least important was the plaster mold project. It had nothing to do with anything we learned that school year. All we did was wrap our hands up with this stuff, it would make something like a cast and then pull it out. Although it had nothing to do with anything we had learned this year it was definitely one of the most fun things we had done in the class. It was carefree and took up time when we finished all of the other major projects. Unfortunately I was sick when we painted them, but mine still came out cool and I loved doing this overall. It was really fun.
5. The art I have a personal connection to is the sketch of my face. Obviously I have a connection to it because I drew myself. It reflects me as an artist because there are so many features on the face it is very difficult to draw. It is very tedious with all of the proportions and measuring and light sources. It really showed the talent of me as an artist because taking all of this into account leads to a very complex piece of art. Although mine didn't really look like me, it definitely looked like a real person due to the facial structure and all of the features. It really showed me what I can do, and with a little bit of practice and instruction, I can be a good artist. So this is my piece of art that shows my capabilities, and that I have a personal connection to.

Light Projects
In art class we did art designs in the dark with glowsticks. this was a fun project because it was a bit like a time lapse and being in the dark and messing around with glowsticks was fun. I also really enjoyed outlining things with these figures and i hope we can do it again because we had a fun time as a class.

Clay / Mud Projects
In art class we have been working on zentangles. These are just randoms designs that are typically swirls that you just add random designs and try to bring it all together. I really liked this because we were able to be outside, paint with mud, and be with our friends. It was a fun project but it would have been a bit better if there was more structure.
The other project we did was a clay project where we had to make a figure out of clay. Originally it started on ipads, but i wasnt here that day so i just jumped right in. I was going to make a person but i messed up the ears and i was going to make eyes but then they were off centered so i made a piggy bank and this is what it looked like... i really liked this project because i like doing this and i have done it before

Favorite Two Projects
my favorite project we did would have to be the spray paint project because it was enjoyable making ourselves come to life using spray paint. i enjoyed the layering and also building the frames and it was a fun project but yet very time consuming if you wanted to do a good job
the project i learned the most from was the portrait project. i learned a lot about porpotions and shading and how to make pictures look real using just with a pencil. i learned that a lot as well with help from Mr sands. it was a bit frustrating and didn't quite look like me but i still learned a lot
Art Eagle Print
This is the print that we did in art class. First we drew the animal of our choice, carved out of rubber and put paint on it with a roller so that the paint only went on the page in certain parts. this was a really fun project and i enjoyed carving out of the rubber with that little tool. i could do that all of the time. i would definitely like to do this again because it is time consuming but yet fun.

Spray Paint Portrait
In art class we have been working on spraypaint a picture of ourselves. we did this by layering paper on top of each other and spraypainting it to create layers. We took a picture of ourselves and then traced it and cut it out with an exacto knife, and this is the result. i enjoyed working on this and would love to do it again
Self Potrait
In art class we have been drawing our self portraits. We have learned a lot about proportions and shading and we had a lot of fun doing this project because we did our best to make it look like ourselves. Although it doesnt look like me it does look like a real person, and i would enjoy spending time on a project like that again.

Value Scale and Shadow Art
In the past couple weeks of art, we have been working on our value scale projects as well as working on or shadow image. I really enjoyed the value scale as i liked blending in the colors and shading the lights and darks of the picture. We could make our pictures unique and shade the picture to what we thought was the best shading. The shadow project with making junk was difficult due to us having a limited amount of materials and trying to put things in the right place to make an image. I would like to do both of these projects again, but i would like to have more materials with the junk shadow

PhotoShop Art
In art class we have been learning more with photoshop. I really enjoy using this software to put twist onto images that make them unique. The shadow makes the image look like it is floating and the baseball player looks like a work of art. I cannot wait to make art out of my photoshop creations

Hand Art
In art class the past day we have been working on painting our hands. I made an octopus by painting my hand blue and drawing the eyes. I tried to take note of the general shape of the animal on my hand and tried to accomodate to make the dimensions and shape work. I really enjoyed doing this in art class. I especially liked getting a little bit messy to while having fun with my friends as well. I hope we get to paint on a part of our body again; it was lots of fun.

Newimal
In Mr. Sands class we have been working on drawing the bone structure of newimals. Newimals are a cross between two sorts of animals, and my two happened to be a pig, and a seal. This was a bit difficult because this animal does not exist, but using what I know about bone structure of animals and humans, as well as a little bit of my imagination, I created this (my pig-seal newimal)
